JingHua Homestay description

JingHua Homestay is a beautiful Japanese-style home nestled within a landscaped garden. It is only a 12-minute walk from the bus station and a 5-minute walk from Pine Garden. Wi-Fi is free throughout the property.

Each room features a unique décor and comes fitted with Japanese style furniture, a private balcony, and wooden flooring. They offer spacious interiors and are equipped with a cable TV, a fridge and a comfortable seating area. All rooms have private bathroom facilities.

JingHua Homestay Hualien can organize whale-watching tours, shrimp fishing, and day trips at the Ocean Park.

The homestay is located a 10-minute drive from Hualien Train Station and a 17-minute drive from Hualien Airport. Hualien Farglory Ocean Park is a 25-minute drive away, while Chihsingtan Beach is a 10-minute drive away.

There are many local eateries and convenient stores just a 10-minute drive away. The famous Naan-Bin Night Market is also a 10-minute drive away.

What was the highlight of JingHua Homestay
An amazing minsu experience in Hualien
The hospitality we received while staying at Jinghua homestay was wonderful from the get-go. The host messaged us the night before, offering to pick us up from the train station. We didn't take up the offer, and despite the location displayed on google being quite misleading as other reviewers have noted, it took us no time to find the place from pictures posted online. The location is very central, in close proximity to the Golden Triangle and other landmarks. Being the first guests to arrive, we were encouraged by the host to pick a suitable room for our needs. We chose a small Japanese-style room on the 1st floor, which was kept clean and equipped with the most basic facilities. The house itself is dated, but is clean, charming, and cozy. Then, the host went out of his way to call several motorbike renting places that would accept our country's driving license. He also offered us many useful traveling tips during our time in Hualien, such as a comprehensive map of the most popular street food stalls in town, places to visit, best visiting time of the day etc. For non-Taiwanese visitors I'd highly recommend Jinghua homestay if you want to experience the authentic minsu experience in Taiwan. I'd suggest keeping an open mind. Throughout our stay we felt welcomed by the host and his family members, and made our best efforts to connect with them and other locals.
The only downside I could think of is the slightly thin walls. Our first night at Jinghua homestay went without hiccups, but on our 2nd night we were woken up by new guests moving in. However, we did not think it was a huge problem, considering the price, the facilities we were provided with, and the hospitality we received.

Disappointed, not very clean
owner was friendly but hope they can improve.
I’m not sure how they got the high review scores. The room was not well maintained and a bit dirty - spider webs etc.

Very unique Japanese style homestay with three cats roaming...
Very unique Japanese style homestay with three cats roaming about. The host is very friendly and offers pick up to and from the train station/city center and also makes delicious breakfast. We had a great time here!

It is a must go in Hualien!!!
The owners of the house were extremely nice and helped me with anything I needed. They even borrowed me a motorbike to go to the night market. The house is very nice with 3 lovely cats.
Nothing to complain about the house it selfs. Just that Google maps location is misleading. The house is located at the end of the first alley north of the small parking in the intersection.
